Our long journey across Iowa on our bikes was AWESOME!! We had such a blast, I am quite sad it's over. There's no way I can even describe this crazy experience, but hopefully through some pictures it will give you a little glimpse of our fun. The state of Iowa is beautiful and most definitely NOT flat! It was such a treat to ride through such beautiful country every day. Ragbrai is a total kick in the pants and I couldn't have hand picked a more fun group of people to do it with. We had a total blast! But I'm not gonna lie, it sure feels good to relax this week!!!
(I apologize for these pictures all being out of order. I am doing this on a mac and can't figure the dang thing out. So here's to an out of order week of pictures!)
This is my favorite picture of the trip. The pie is infamous on Ragbrai and these babes were totally indulging in it. But Will without his tooth makes it just classic!

This can give you a glimpse of how many people there were. This picture is taken in one of the lunch towns. You have to get off your bike when you go through a town because there's just too many people. It's crazy!!

"Team Bad Boy". They had they're 'moving bar', a smoker (grill) thing, and a cooler they pulled on the back of their bikes the whole way.

Ragbrai is all about the food (definitely didn't lose any weight this week!) We had so much fun trying all the fun food and always did it family style. This is a huge pork tenderloin sandwich that was DELISH!!!

I'm stealing Christine's phrase but I'm suffering from a non-alcoholic post-ragbrai hangover. I miss it so much! The night after we got back I had onion rings and ice cream for dinner, somebody slap me quick! I've got to get over that behavior!!!

I was totally bored at work, prob because I had so much to do, so I was looking back at some super old photos on my blog and there was a comment from you! I never saw it even though you left it there back in November. Then I spent the next hour-yes HOUR-catching up on what's going on with you and Scott. First of all. You are so freaking awesome that is one freaking long ride. I was just eating my healthy lunch of Famous Amos cookies thinking how I slept through my ride this morning and thinking it's going to be too hot for one after work. I am so proud of you. It totally gave me the encouragement I need to get my butt out there! So thanks :) You're freaking funny too, and I love all the stories about your mom. Tell Scott HI! I hope you guys are having a good summer out in Omaha.
wowzer that was so dang much fun! I definitely have enjoyed a good rest week after that and now i'm ready to go back and do it again (as long as i get to eat as much and still drive half the miles everyday)
