Wow it's a Christmas miracle! I thought it might be fun to catch up. So much has happened in the last 3 months that I could never cover but here's just a tidbit and a few recent photos.

We moved over to Holladay, had a little bit of drama and flooding in our first place after one night so we moved back in with the parents for a month. Now we're out again and in a fantastic place. Couldn't be happier. We love it! We are about 20 seconds from Scotty's office which has been so dang awesome. Him going in for an emergency now on a Sunday or at night is no big deal since I know he'll be back in an hour because of no driving time.

Work is going well for Scotty. He's getting busier and busier and he really does enjoy being a dentist so much. I feel so blessed that we were able to come back to Holladay and get into such a wonderful practice.

I'm loving the Christmas season so much. The day after Thanksgiving we put up our tree and all the decorations....Christmas music has been playing constantly in our home. (I know because Jane knows all these Christmas songs I didn't teach her)! The best part about this year is Jane. Holy smokes this is WAY TOO MUCH FUN doing the Christmas thing with a kiddo. Explaining Santa to her, how it all works, the reindeer, his sled, and "Elf on the Shelf", I am getting a kick out of it! I am as giddy for Christmas morning as I was when I was a little kiddo myself. All Jane wants to do is read Christmas books. She is seriously my favorite right now.

On Tuesday Scott and I took Jane down to see the lights at Temple Square. It is a heavenly place down there. Scott and I both looked at each other and smiled and both said at the same time how much we could feel the spirit. We are so dang lucky to be able to go there and to feel that. It truly is magical!
Jane got her first "legit" haircut! She had such a mullet going. I was so torn for so long because I loved being able to put it in a pony tail, braids, whatever. But this is WAY cuter. She was terrified and so mad at me until I whipped out 3 things of Smarties.

We went to the zoo after Thanksgiving with Tay and Ker and their kiddos. We love them. Jane is so obsessed with her cousins. It's a blast.
We have a trampoline out back. Jane is crazy about jumping on it. She loves it. And I love her awesome hair that she gets!
Thanksgiving was perfect. We had 30 people up at my moms and it couldn't have gone smoother. I feel so lucky to have such a dang cool family, without drama or anyone hating each other. We all just are lucky enough to have a great time together and love and support each other. Jane and McKaylee were the happiest campers in town with endless bowls of whipped cream I was feeding them:)
My amazing dad did his 3rd Ironman in Phoenix, AZ last week. He had shoulder surgery a few months back (due to his last ironman in May) and bicep surgery and wasn't even supposed to be doing the dang thing. Needless to say we supported him and were all so worried about him all day. We tracked him online constantly and my siblings and I were all texting like crazy. During the bike we lost him and couldn't figure out where he had gone. 4 hours later we found out he had crashed on his bike and flipped over his handlebars and landed on a tree and was in the hospital. His helmet saved his life. The medical crew found him lying in bushes and he begged them to let him keep going. He made it 5 more miles (to mile 90) and was completely numb in his upper body. He couldn't hold on to the handlebars any longer and they pulled him and immediately sent him to the hospital. They were concerned it was a serious neck injury due to the numbness but after about 5 hours it came back and his MRI and CT Scan were clear. He is so dang lucky. His helmet is cracked and completely inside out. Love this man and am so proud of him.
Jane made some serious progress in snow. Yes people, she walked through this herself. She KILLS me! Scott is in a panic at the lack of snow we are receiving. I am praising the Heavens because I have a 2 year old and we play outside everyday still! This pic above is her reaction last year to the snow and this year to the snow. EXACT SAME, would not budge or take a step in it. This girl is so hilarious with textures. She did the same thing at the beach with walking on the sand.
I am so dang happy to have little Janie in my life. I get to play with her everyday and watch her learn and grow. I am amazed at how smart she is, how quickly she picks things up and how concerned she is about my happiness. She always asks me, "Mom, are you happy?" "Are you okay mom?" She is my perfect angel and she makes me want to be so good myself so I can be the best I can be for her. I got pregnant so dang fast with Jane and this next little kiddo is not wanting to cooperate. The first few months I was so down about it and concerned at how old Jane was getting, etc. and I have completely changed my focus and priority on just enjoying this time I have with Jane. It will come, I know it will, when we expand our little family but I will never have time like this again with any of my other children like I do with Jane. I am embracing it each day and holding it dear. I love this little gal more than anything.
