Going back to Utah for Christmas was wonderful.
It's amazing how fast Omaha has become my home, I felt out of place at first in Utah. For the first couple of days while driving around in Salt Lake, I couldn't stop looking at liscense plates. I couldn't believe how many Utah liscense plates I was seeing! Then I had to remind myself that I indeed, was in Utah. I always look at liscense plates here in Nebraska and when I see a Utah one it excites me for some reason. But don't worry, that only lasted a couple of days.
It will take a couple of posts to cover our Utah trip. It was truly a blessing to be with our wonderful families. I have found myself sincerely praying more than ever to Heavenly Father to please watch over and protect our family while Scott and I are away. I am so grateful for that blessing.

But the time came and we had to leave our family, friends, all the delicious fresh fruits and vegetables and yummy food that our parents can afford, the wonderful company, Snowbird, and the "fly by the seat of our pants" schedule.
But now we're home and we couldn't be happier.
Life is simple here and we love it.
We came home to bills, bills, and more bills, cars that wouldn't start, another car that needs new tires, both need to be re-registered, nothing but rotten milk in our fridge, no food, tons and tons of snow, negative degree temperatures, we're both sick, two huge bags to unpack and lots of laundry, Christmas stuff that needs to be taken down, and as of last night a broken dryer.
But it's life and I love it.
Scott went back to school with a pure positive attitude.
I missed my students so very much, my heart beat a million times a minute when I saw them on Tuesday morning and to see the twinkle in their eyes while telling me about what Santa Claus brought them and how much they missed me.
Today is my 2nd snow day this week so I've only had school on Tuesday so far. It's been a huge blessing to have the time off to unpack and try and get organized. Scott came home from school yesterday and I was feeling so sick I was wrapped up in a blanket watching Ellen and he was so freezing cold he came and bundled up with me on the couch with his wretched cough. He got up the energy to run Walgreens and loaded up on Emergen-C, herbal tea, nyquil, sudafed, airborne, and cough drops. He made delicious peach tea and we sat there and drank it by the heater and fell asleep at 5:00 and when when 9:00 rolled around we trecked upstairs to our cozy bed to continue our very much needed night sleep.
I love being home.
